Aperture 3 goes live
Web design experts may be interested to know that Apple has launched the latest instalment of its flagship photo-editing program.
Aperture 3, which is available from the Apple Store, has a recommended retail price of £127 or an upgrade price of £63 for existing owners. A free 30-day trial is also on offer at apple.com/aperture/trial. The web design software introduces more than 200 new features, giving owners more scope to enhance image quality, apply relevant tags and display the results publicly.
Firstly, Brushes lets users make a range of adjustments directly onto their photos such as polarising, burning, dodging and blurring. Secondly, Faces incorporates face-recognition technology to re-categories photos according to the people pictured. Thirdly, Places reclassifies images based on where they were taken using information from GPS cameras, tracking devices or manual adding. Fourthly, Aperture 3 adds multimedia slideshows that mix photos, audio, HD video and text
