iPhone tops search report
Mobile marketing executives have been put on alert after it emerged that the iPhone is the most in-demand product this Christmas.
According to digital trend tracker Experian Hitwise, the iPhone accounted for 1.75 per cent of all UK product searches in the consumer electronics category during the week ending December 5th 2009. Moreover, Apple's smartphone accounted for 14 per cent of all mobile web searches over the same period. These findings suggest that the iPhone will continue to be the key growth area for mobile marketing experts in 2010.
Apple will also be pleased to hear that the iPod Touch was the second most popular search term with a 1.29 per cent search share. This was followed by the three biggest games consoles
